The Stallion in the Sun

Many centuries after the banishment of the fallen Prince Helios, Prince Ouranos continues to pay respects to the memory of his younger brother.

The idea for this image came about when I was thinking about how a role-reversal of Luna's banishment might work. I then decided to go further and add some additional changes. Specifically:

• Their genders are flipped, obviously.
• Their roles are completely reversed, so the sun prince is now the younger of the two, the one who becomes corrupted and gets banished for a thousand years.
• Their names are changed from Latin roots to Greek. Previously the names' meanings were Celestia=Heavens, Luna=Moon, so in this case I chose Helios=Sun, Ouranos=Heavens to reflect the swapping of roles.

There are other transfers of features, such as mane style, and changes like giving them more armour and fewer tiaras. The clothing changes were admittedly mostly following gender stereotypes, downplaying elegance and favouring strength.

That's about it. This was just a bit of fun playing around with concepts.
